Nothing destined Aurèle Morf to become a winemaker, and yet, for over 20 years, Aurèle has been producing exceptional wines.
In the early 2000s, he decided to plant vines in his hometown, Moutier. So, it was on the lands of the former Moutier Grandval Monastery that the young winemaker began. But he needed a grape variety adapted to the climatic conditions of the Swiss Jura, so he turned to Hybrids, grapes that are inherently resistant.
His crazy gamble paid off, and the first Moutier wines, based on Cabernet Jura, saw the light of day.
And not stopping there, a white grape vineyard was established a few years ago. In parallel, he maintains vineyards in Ticino and Valais to compensate for the microscopic production in the Jura.
His wines, made from grape varieties little known to the general public (Souvignier gris, Muscatin, Pinotin, Divona, Cabernet Noir...), take our palates to new horizons. Each bottle is an experience, a story, and a journey.
Aurèle's wines surprise us, challenge us, make us question, and above all,do us good!
