Marina and Dede are an Italian-Brazilian couple living in the Jura region, near Château-Chalon. But before that, for 12 years, they cultivated the land in Brazil. Grapes, aromatic plants, vegetables, fruits, served in their small bistro. They met several winemakers from Jura at wine fairs in Brazil, befriended them, and decided to take the plunge when the political situation became tense in their country.
We met Dede at Les Claquets, a canteen for winemakers in Arbois, as he is the chef there. We then saw each other at the cellar just after the harvest, where they proudly presented their first 100% Jura vintage. After their arrival in France, they worked for 2 years at Les Dolomies, from whom they acquired 1.2 hectares of vines, and they also rent 0.55 hectares in Pupillin from Domaine de la Loue.
In addition, they produce natural sparkling wines from Anjou and Gigondas négociants, which have allowed them to get started several years ago.
Their work is delicate, meticulous, deeply rooted in the region and respectful of living things. We can't wait to see what's next!
